MAINS WATER IS NOW IN THE SECOND FIELD!

Cornwall Allotments is a development of allotments at Middle Carvannel farm, Penstruthal, Nr Lanner, Redruth, in Cornwall. We are a family run business which started on the 8th of May 2009 with one field of allotment plots, due to huge demand we opened our second field of allotment plots in August 2009 and are now looking at opening a third field of plots.

   

1n 2008 we purchased 30 acres of land from a neighbour who was emmigrating to Canada, this added to the 4 acres we already had at Treveth came to a total of nearly 35 acres.

At that point we had 3 horses Trooper, Chester and Connie, several dogs, cats and ferrets, as we didnt need all the land for our own animals we immediately rented out some of the land to a nearby horse breeder to graze some of his stock on. We were soon approached by a couple who needed a bit of land to keep their chickens and rabbits on, they came and stayed for a few months until they were able to get a house with its own land, we enjoyed having the animals here and realised that people wanted plots they could keep chickens on and grow food for their families so the idea of Cornwall Allotments was born.
